I wonder how when it comes to discussion candidates say that they will easily score more than 30 in each paper. Just 30 in each paper and a minimum qualifying mark in descriptive should bring them near 140, which is such a targeted score which easily takes them to next round. But I personally feel from my experience so far that cut off will not be high, but may slightly increase compared to previous year. Probably an increase of +5 in each category, which itself is a high increase.
Secondly what happens if SBI too follows TWSS. Defiantly then the accuracy matters. Candidates expected more in IBPS PO too, but believe just 60 thousand cleared. SBI PO was bit tougher particularly in English and Reasoning when compared to IBPS and other sections too were relatively tougher. Just bookmark my comment, I am sure cut off may remain same or might increase marginally higher with an increase of +5 in maximum.

The next component which makes me wonder is that, candidates commented here claim that they will score hardly around 140+, but enquire whether they will be selected. Is it to create a panic? or they have given the exam merely without any idea about it? I am sorry its not to hurt any one, but people who score good in REASONING doesn’t even think( reason) before raising the question.

    • lakshman

you r right… the claims people make seem to be made in haste the need to think about their answers they will surely get many mistakes. Its not that if you attempted 35- 40 in each section all of them should be correct, even an expert tends to make mistakes. But still the paper was easy and the cut off (obj + des) will be around 130- 135.

  • rohan

Paper was a mixture of exhaustive, tricky to easy questions as compared to the paper of SBI associate 2011 english section was quite difficult in GA section , computer knowledge was average and marketing was easy , while GA was average which included questions under pretext of the general information ..GA covered topics mainly from january and feb month.. DI were quite easy but took time ..Logical reasoning maintained the difficulty level as in 2011 exam..i was not able to count my attempted questions , but was sure to cross above 26+ ..descriptive was for sure emphasising on current knowledge, social issues and mainly quality of language .the past 2011 exam had a cut off around 110 for general category including objective + descriptive, it might be due to increase in competition and less vacancies as compared to associates the cut off may slightly increase ..but for sure not more then 120 in general category .

  • Anitha
